What is Playfight - Matteo Tangi lineage?
Matteo Tangi created his own lineage of Playfight, based on the wish to enable us adults to experience the fun, joy and deep connetion we experienced in the playful fighting during our childhood. You can read more about his original ideas and visions on www.palyfight.org.

Don't have that much time?
Then watch Playfight in 30 seconds !
Do I need any prior experience?
Absolutely not! Our circles are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all, regardless of any prior experience in playfighting or martial arts.
Is it dangerous?
No. The structure and rituals of our Playfight circles are designed to create a safe environment to experience your strenth without getting hurt and to guarantee physical and emotional safety.
Am I fit enough?
What if feel tired and worn out?
You don't need to be trained pyhsically or even feel fit and in ideal shape to enjoy and profit from a Playfight session. All needs, moods and mental states are welcome and we create an atmosphere where you can freely communicate your limitations or sensitivities and express your needs at any time. Playfights can be engegetic and wild but also very soft, slow and attentive. In any case playful and mindful!
Even if you decide not to playfight at all, you will contribute to the circle and profit from the session.
Why play?
Because Playfight, Matteo Tangi lineage is more about play, connection and fun than fight.
See Matteo explain in this short reel.
Do I really have to fight?
No. You yourself are responsible the quality of "your" playfight! Playfighting can also be soft, slow, flowy and have a dance-like quality - and the goal is always to stay connected (to yourself and your parner), playful and mindful.
It is even an important learning field in Playfight, to ask for what you long for (or to even know it) and set your boundaries where needed.
Still, the "competition" factor makes playfighting more interesting, creative, challenging and gives you the possibility to learn - on an embodied level - new, violence-free ways to go for your goals in a confrontation in your everyday life.
What should I wear to a circle?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. If you have some, you can bring kneepads. (You will playfight on mats.) Shoes are not needed or allowed in the play area.
